But unsealed pavers fade over time, grow weeds between joints, lose their joint sand, and become stained from organic growth, oil, and rust.
Sealing your pavers after a thorough cleaning restores their original color, locks in joint sand to prevent shifting and weed growth, and creates a protective barrier against staining. The result is a surface that looks like new and stays looking good much longer than unsealed pavers.
Before sealing, we thoroughly clean the pavers to remove all dirt, algae, weeds, and staining. We remove existing weeds from joints and clean out old, deteriorated joint sand. The pavers need to be completely clean for the sealer to bond properly.
After cleaning, we re-sand the joints with polymeric sand. This specialized sand hardens when wet and locks the pavers together, preventing shifting and making it much harder for weeds to grow back.
Once the pavers are clean, dry, and re-sanded, we apply a professional-grade sealer. We offer wet look (glossy, color-enhancing) and natural look (matte, subtle enhancement) finishes. The sealer protects against UV fading, staining, and organic growth.
In Florida's climate, paver sealer typically lasts 2 to 3 years before it needs to be reapplied. High-traffic areas and surfaces with heavy sun exposure may need resealing sooner. We recommend inspecting your pavers annually and resealing when the water no longer beads on the surface.
